Plenty of visitors come to see what minis are all about.
I can stand out in the pastures a long time talking horses.
Here are a few who have come so far to share some love.

visit...
It was a day I was missing my mom. She loved horses, but never met the minis. When my treasure of a friend Hilda made a surprise stop, it was as if I'd had a visit from an angel.

A lazy summer day found my kids going back and forth between badminton games and the pasture. There's nothing like a foal to get a teenager's attention.

When my daughter
joined the Empire
Statesmen Drum and
Bugle Corp one
summer, a big
weekend time
comittment, I needed a
buddy to go along to
shows to help and even
show a filly when
needed. I found a
perfect fit: Kennedy.
Nothing like a barn
buddy! The fillies love
her. And I'm pretty sure
the feeling's mutual.
Kennedy was able to
be present for the
births of the 2007 foals,
thanks to her dad
driving her over late at
night. Pictures of
Kennedy are scattered
throughout the web
site.
July 2006--sharing the joy these little equine bring me is my favorite part about
having them. On July 6 our neighbors brought their 3 year old niece and 8 year
old nephew over to hang out in the pasture. Brett has autism, so the visit was
extra special. Blessing and Whisper were wonderful ambassadors for the
miniature horse breed!
Mutual admiration...
Ahh, the delight of a mini!
August 2006: More former
students visit with their
siblings! See how much they
miss me once the year is
past? Whisper enjoys
whispering in their ears, but
Blessing's always up for
mauling. This crew is very
good at grooming!
Summer 2006: Here come some more students! Two terrific girls brought a sister, a friend and a mom
out to see the minis, well, and me, of course. The pictures will explain how the visit went.
Someone loves Blessing....
A summer afternoon in a pasture of
horses--what could be better?
October 2006: Yep! Another student! She brought her aunt and sister along for
the fun. These darling girls earned a A+ in horsemanship!
God forbid I should go to
heaven where there are no
horses. --R. B. Cunningham Graham

April 2007 There's nothing like a new foal to get the students to visit! Rosie and Claire have had much socializing.
Kennedy and another former student came out!
I gave her a chance to play before I put her to work.

On June 2nd and 3rd, we had 17 folks stop in to see the new babies! Several more planned to come, but
waited for another day because of rain. No pictures were taken of the in the barn due to rain visits.
My parents-in-law came!
Kennedy and Abbie brought their little brothers and Abbey's mom!
My nephew, Scott, seemed to feel right at home
in the pastures. (August 2007)
On August 8, 2007-- Richard, from work, came out with his lovely wife and granddaughters! They were all horse lovers!
The fillies sure were interested in the small two-legged one in the stroller.
The horses were wonderful hosts and
even walked their visitors to the gate.
Nov 12, 2007--more visitors! My teaching buddy Allison brought her
husband, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew to meet the minis!
Someone loves Rosie....
Leslie Albrecht! This is
Aunt Barbara and
Uncle George up from
SC. They never leave
NY without peeking at
the horses. Rosie
wanted to make sure
they felt welcomed.
The most wonderful horse loving family visited in April 2008. One of the lovely
ladies fell in love with Blessing, and the other with Whisper and Rosie. All the
horses loved the little guy's ears! What a joy it was to hang out in the pasture
with these guys.
Then they were ready for leading.
"Hey! You're supposed to walk when I say 'walk!'" That's better.
They thought he had carrots in his ears!
June 8, 2008 was a hot day. Add girls and horses and what a terrific
day it can be! Kennedy came over to help me teach Sarah and
Megan more about horse handling. What a lot of smiles there were!
Thanks for taking some of the photos, Rachel!
July 23rd--here come some of my former students. After working
on leading we clipped halter paths and made some braids.
